My Aspirations of Dance

So I'm finally able to take dance classes over the summer!! I'm so excited, but at that the same time I'm kind of nervous because this will be my first time being in a studio, learning amazing dance technique and routines. I'm probably going to take lyrical, ballet, hip-hop, and maybe even acro because I've always wanted to learn how to do all these tricks like handstands, elbow stand, scorpion, back walkover, front walkover, etc.

It will probably be a while before I ever get on pointe, but I think the shoes are really pretty because purple is my favorite color.

I'm going to practice and practice and practice until I can get my leg to be as high as this :) I'm setting some pretty high goals for myself!

I really want to learn how to do an elbow stand and all these qymnastic moves and be flexible, so I probably will be taking an acro dance class (if it doesn't cost too much money and my mom will let me).

These are all the classes I plan on taking over the summer because I LOVE DANCING! It's my passion and it's the one thing that people cannot take away from me. Dancing is unique, spontaneuos, beautiful and stunning because every dance is different and showcases different things in their performances. I know God will help me accomplish all of these things I want to learn how to do, but I also have to play my part and do what I have to do. It is not going to be easy, but I love taking on new challenges and being open to new things. I'm ready to be the best dancer I can be and give it all I got because I want to be 100% dedicated to my art and dancing! My two favorite quotes about dance are: "Dancers are the athletes of God" by Albert Einstein and secondly, "Dancing is the poetry of the foot," by John Dryden. Dance is everyting to me and I love it! *Live Love Peace Dance Harmony!*
